Mr Lim Tian Lye, 81, and his wife Toh Kwee Eng, 80, said their vows for the first time at a ceremony last night by the lake at Raffles Country Club.

'In 1952, all we did was sign the marriage papers and hold a small banquet,' said the Lims, who were one of 33 couples renewing their vows at the People's Association event. Health Minister Gan Kim Yong was the guest of honour.
