Stream movies onto your Wi-Fi devices on Scoot

Low-cost carrier Scoot recently launched ScooTV, which allows passengers to stream movies and sitcoms onto their own Wi-Fi devices during the flight.

Powered by Gogo, Scoot claims to be the only Asian airline to offer passengers this option.

The programmes on ScooTV is refreshed every second month. Currently, it features Academy Award winner Natalie Portman’s stunning performance in Black Swan, Jackie Chan’s life-risking stunts in Shinjuku Incident, and a range of TV favourites.

ScooTV is being offered to ScootBiz guests for free, while passengers in Economy class will have to pay $15 (pre-purchase) or $16 (onboard purchase) per flight.

For those without their own devices, Scoot’s Rent-a-Tablet service will still be available at $20 (pre-purchase) or $22 (onboard purchase).

CEO of Scoot, Campbell Wilson, said: “Scoot is excited to be the first airline in Asia to offer this innovative inflight entertainment option. Going wireless keeps our aircraft lighter, our costs down and our fares cheaper. And better yet, ScooTV empowers our guests with even more entertainment options.”
