Bulgari's new Singapore flagship store at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, 01-111, boasts a brighter and more open concept.

Elements from the brand's main store in Rome's Via del Condotti have been replicated here. These include the use of star motifs as well as Veneziana flooring, the latter of which was created using an ancient handmade technique used for the external terraces of Italian homes in the 19th century.

In keeping with the renewed emphasis on watches, Bulgari timepieces are showcased in a dedicated display area with a special watch-making counter.

To commemorate the store reopening yesterday, a special-edition Bulgari Bulgari white gold pendant with pave diamonds totalling 0.66 carats on a white gold chain went on sale at $11,200. Only 88 pieces are available. At 2,647 sq ft, the new store is about 600 sq ft bigger than its previous duplex. Besides jewellery, timepieces and bags, it also carries some jewellery pieces showcased at the Biennale des Antiquaires art and antiques fair in Paris in September. These include a pair of $103,000 drop earrings in white gold featuring 67.10 carat aquamarines worth and four round-shaped spinels totalling 13.81 carats.

All Bulgari stores also continue to sell the Save The Children BZero1 ring. With the sale of each ring, which costs $670, $130 goes towards improving the lives of needy children, with a focus on education.

Since Bulgari started the project in 2009, it has raised US$20 million for the charity.
