Device uses brain signals to control household appliances

Mind control is now within reach, with a device designed by Republic Polytechnic students.

This device, which looks like a cross between a head massager and headphones, allows the user to switch household appliances on or off with just a wink or a wiggle of the eyebrow.

The award-winning device first came about when one of the students went on a school trip to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and found that there were many disabled people who needed help.
