Want tickets to G-Dragon's solo concert here before others? Buy tickets for both nights

Want tickets to G-Dragon's solo concert here before others? Buy tickets for both nights

K-pop singer G-Dragon of Big Bang fame will be holding his highly anticipated debut solo concert here in two shows on June 29 and June 30 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Ticket sales for the shows begin this weekend, with priority sales being held on Friday. There is a catch: Anyone wishing to purchase priority tickets on Friday must purchase the same number of tickets for both nights that G-Dragon is performing.

The minimum purchase per person is one ticket for each night.

It is a highly unusual requirement to qualify for priority sale purchasing.

A spokesman from One Production, the production company behind the concerts, says that it is a move that "gives back to diehard fans", as it is usually such fans who are willing to see their idol more than once.

"There have been credit card priority sales and handset (telco) priority sales before, so we wanted to think of one that will give back to diehard fans, who are the most important core supporters for the artiste," says the spokesman.

G-Dragon fan Ms Suzanne Low, 24, says that she finds this unique requirement "quite unfair".

The university student says: "This is basically forcing people to watch the show on both nights, which I think is quite unfair. I only want to watch it on one night, but now I will have to go find some other friends and buy tickets together, because if I only start buying on Saturday, all the good seats will be gone."

Tickets, which cost between $168 to $268, are available via Sistic.
