ST701 adds more feathers to its hat

SPH's online property portal STProperty won Bronze in the Best in Mobile Publishing Award category, while its online cars (STCars) and shopping (STClassifieds) portals also each won Bronze in the Best in Cross Media Award - Cross Media Advertising category.

The Best in Mobile Publishing Award honours the best and most innovative services offered by news publishers on a mobile platform. In its efforts to extensively reach out to and engage with property seekers and agents, STProperty’s free application works on a geo-locater (GPS system), allowing property enthusiasts to search for (information on) available properties wherever they are and specific to their physical location. The system has been upgraded this year to accommodate various sorting modes for listings, better presentation on map view and categorisation of news, amongst others. The app is seeing more than 60,000 downloads on smartphones and tablets till date.

For STCars, it employed the use of print, digital and other media (outdoor, video, radio, below-the-line collaterals) to effectively reach out to people using different platforms and a variety of target audience. The nation-wide STCars Anti-Drink Drive 2012 campaign, a collaboration with (Singapore) Traffic Police and Singapore Road Safety Council, is an example of an initiative that generated a lot of buzz through the eclectic marketing mix. The campaign was also picked up by the World Economic Forum this June as one of 60 Creative For Good ads that epitomised effective public education.

STClassifieds also successfully optimised outreach via an eclectic marketing mix of print, digital and other media platforms (video, below-the-line collaterals, onsite promotional events). STClassifieds Feste (a carnival featuring lucky draws, entertainment and games) and STClassifieds One Minute Sweep (a 60-second grab-and-win roadshow) were two campaigns that garnered overwhelming turnouts, participations and subscriptions as a result of the robust cross-marketing strategies implemented last year.
