This giant floral snake rising up from the beach caught the eye of a camera-toting visitor to Sentosa yesterday. The "sculpture" is part of Singapore's first Giant Floral Carpet, which measures 50m by 40m and is made up of 30,000 fresh flowers. Sentosa Flowers 2013, to be set up at the beach for the first time, will transform 4.5ha of the beach area into a floral display.

Another highlight is the Glittering Snake Trail, the longest snake sand sculpture which took 240 man-hours to create.

The event will be open to the public from Feb 9 to 17 between 10am and 7pm daily.
