'I now have a few days to eat noodles'

US indie dance act The Cataracs were excited about playing at the 1 World Festival.

On Tuesday, Niles "Cyranizzy" Hollowell-Dhar, the man behind The Cataracs, posted on Twitter: "I'm about to hop on this epic journey of a flight to Singapore."

So he was shocked and disappointed when told that the festival has been cancelled.

He told The New Paper: "It's really a shame, I was looking forward to seeing the Singapore fans. But on the bright side, I now have a few days to eat noodles and hit the arcade at Bugis Junction."

Over 30 acts were expected to perform at the festival, which was supposed to take place Sept 20 and 21. The festival's line-up had included Snoop Lion (previously known as Snoop Dogg), Moby and Iggy Azalea.
